The Catch the Beat Indonesia Cup 2013 (CIC 2013) was an Indonesian 4-players osu!catch tournament hosted by MOD-. It was the second instalment of the Catch the Beat Indonesia Cup.

Ruleset

Entry regulation

In order to prevent multi accounting, this tournament have specific entry regulation.

  • Participant need to have play count at least 1,500.
  • Active during tournament

General rules

  1. A match given leeway of 15 minutes from the designated match time for all participants.
  2. Participants who didn't came after the extra time is up, they will be eliminated instantly.
  3. Participants are not allowed to use illegal programs.
  4. Rematch may not happen for following reasons:
    • Connection lag.
    • Disconnect during the match.
  5. Staff decision is final.
  6. Rules may change without any further notice. However, staffs will make sure to notice the participants beforehand.
  7. It is expected to respect and be polite to each other. Penalties will be given if participants violates.
    • If participants try to provoke other participants, participants who start the provocation will be reported to the CIC staff and kicked in the current instalment of CIC.
    • Usage of any illegal programs will be reported to the osu!staff and will be blacklisted in the next instalment of CIC.
    • Participants who use multi account will be blacklisted for 3 years.

Match rules

  1. Match room consists of 1 referee and 4 participants.
  2. Participants will compete against each other using Battle Royale system.
  3. Following match will use point system:
    • Each participants starts from 8 points.
    • Each round ends, each participants score changes based on following distribution:
      • 1st place: +2 points.
      • 2nd place: +1 point.
      • 3rd place: -1 point.
      • 4th place: -2 points.
  4. Match lasts up to Participant x 2 maps.
  5. Match ends prematurely if one of the following condition is met:
    • Participant on 3rd place have no possible comeback to get 2nd place.
    • Any player hits 0 points or lower.
  6. If the participant on 1st place wins 4 times consecutively, they may leave the room and automatically pass to next round.
  7. To advance into the next round, participants need to reach at least 2nd place.
  8. Tie Break will happen if the 2nd place and 3rd place have same points, to determine 2nd place for advancing.

Final rules

  1. Every participant starts with 8 points.
  2. There'll be an intermission on 4th and 10th match.
  3. Point system that will be used during this stage:
    • Normal Point Maps:
      • 1st place: +2 points.
      • 2nd place: +1 points.
      • 3rd place: -1 points.
      • 4th place: -2 points.
    • Double Point Maps: Point x 2
    • Bonus Maps: Point x 2 to anyone who beats Guest score, no minus point
  4. Double Point will take effect if the player who picks it is not fail, otherwise Normal Point.
  5. Match will keep going even one of the contestant have negative points.
  6. Map Selection Rules:
    • Each player only allowed to pick 1 No Mod map.
    • Each player only allowed to pick 1 Non-No Mod map.
    • During the session, each mod category can be played up to 2 times.
    • Double Point Maps can be selected up to 2 times.
    • Double Point Maps can't be selected consecutively.
  7. Each player may opt to use Hidden when playing on either HardRock or DoubleTime maps once, if this happens all players must use Hidden as well. This privilege can't be used consecutively.
