Vektor

Thrashing for nearly two decades, Vektor is an American metal band whose sound is a symbol for practically all of the progressive metal niche. The band first took root in 2002 under the name "Locrian", shifting to the famed Vektor title a few years later and quickly followed by their first self-released demo. The albums Black Future and Outer Isolation saw publication to critical acclaim in 2009 and 2011, truly putting the band on the map as a major player in the thrash metal scene. After four years of hiatus, the band returned in 2020 to the praise of metalheads worldwide with plans for new songs and performances in the not-so-distant future.

Along with their discography, Vektor's footprint on osu! continues to grow after being introduced to the ranked section by Mazzerin with maps of Fast Paced Society and Cosmic Cortex, along with a spike in popularity thanks to Tetrastructural Minds designed by Makeli. Appealing to the massive crowd of osu! players fascinated with high speed streams, Vektor's music is a perfect fit for creators aiming to carve their own long-form mapping masterpieces.
